Privacy

What we store

• Your account: your name, your email address and your password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash, never in a form that can be read back.
• Your study settings: your assessment date, if you give one, and how many new cards you want each day.
• Your progress: each rating you give a card and when you gave it, when each card is next due, the cards you bookmark, and how many cards you reviewed on each day (for your streak).

If you sign in with Google or GitHub, where that is offered, we also store the identifier that provider gives us for your account.

Why we store it

To sign you in, to save your progress so that it follows you between devices, and to work out which cards to show you. We do not use it for anything else. We do not sell it or share it for marketing, and the application does not send marketing email.

Cookies

The site sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect the sign-in forms. It sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies.

Where it is kept

The application and its database run on cloud services provided by a hosting company and a database company, which process the data on our behalf.

Deleting your data

Sign in, open Account and choose Delete account. Your account, your progress and your bookmarks are removed at once and cannot be recovered.
